Varzob district

Varzob district district of Republican Subordination in Tajikistan. The regional center - the settlement of urban type Varzob, is located 25 km north of Dushanbe.

It was formed October 27, 1939 in the Stalinabad of the Tajik SSR.

Geography

Varzob district is located in Hissar Valley, adjacent to the northern border city of Dushanbe. It has borders with Aini district Soghd, on the west - Hissar district in the south - from Rudaki, on the east - Vahdat District.
