Torsonzade Mirzo [p. 19.4 (2.5) .1911, village Karatag now Regarskogo area], the Tajik Soviet writer and public figure, the national poet of Tajikistan (1961), Academician of the Tajik SSR (1951), Hero of Socialist Labor (1967). CPSU member since 1941. A member of the Communist Party of the Tajik SSR (1946). Published since 1930. The first collection of poems, "The Banner of Victory," published in 1932. The poem "creators" (1934), the play "The sentence" (1935), the poem "Sun Country" (1936), "Autumn and Spring" (1937) brought T. recognition, his poetry is realistic, but it is characterized by the romantic excitement, emotion and aphoristic, coming from the classical oriental and folk poetry.
